Ephesians 1:3-10

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.

God has now revealed to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure. And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth.”

Reading these verses today has given me peace. Why would i worry about the future, when I KNOW that God holds it in His hands?

Which brings me to this verse I like a lot:

“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” – Romans 10:4

Christ is truly the truth, the way, and the Life (John 14:6). I love it that I can trust in this truth. It makes me want to rejoice, no matter what I’m going through. He’s got my back, and He’s got yours, too. All we need to do is trust in Him, abide in Him, like branches on a tree, surrendering completely to His loving Grace. And keeping in mind that HE WORKS FOR THE GOOD OF ALL WHO LOVE GOD. 🙂 What a wonderful thing! Let’s keep our faith in Him, and know that everything happens for a GOOD reason, no matter how dark the situation you’re going through right now is. Know that you will come out of it victorious in Jesus’ name.

God is soooooo Good! 🙂

Remembering him…

These past couple of days, I’ve been thinking about Danny, more so now than usual. If you’ve just started following and don’t know who he is, I’ll say this: He was the man who brought me back to Christ. My best friend forever. The person who inspired me to follow Jesus. The person who’s cared for me more than anyone has ever cared. He passed away from cancer back in 2011, but still inspires and encourages me to this day. http://www.danielhaddad.org

So anyway, re-read his posts on his website, and his faith was just so amazing. What a beautiful man he was. What a beautiful Angel he is now.

Every time I think of him, this verse comes to mind:

“Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith.” – Hebrews 13:7

After he passed, I made a promise that I would follow in his footsteps, to feed my faith to starve all my fears to death. He was a real leader, a warrior, a child of God, loving, caring, funny, faithful. He trusted in Him all the way through, he finished the race, and kept the faith.

“But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” – 2 Timothy 4:5-8

I will never ever forget him. Love you, Dannyboy. Always in my heart.

Dear Lord,
Thank you for your daily Love and Grace. Thank You for every person you’ve put in our lives, for we know that there is a reason for everything that You do. Thank You for knowing exactly what and who we need exactly when we need it. You know us more than we could ever know ourselves, and we are certain that You work for the good of all of us. We trust in Your will, and totally surrender to You. Thank You, Lord, for the leaders You’ve put in our lives that have changed our lives one way or another. Father, we thank You for loving us, despite our sin. We ask that You keep us guarded in Your hands, safe, secure, warm, and may we be filled with Your spirit, so that one day we can be someone else’s Danny. We love You so much. All of this we pray in Jesus’ holy name, AMEN.

What about you? Have you had a person in your life who’s left an ever lasting mark in your heart? If so, how? Would love to hear your experiences!

God bless you.

“I can do ALL things through CHRIST who strengthens me..”

– Philippians 4:13

What a beautiful truth.

At times, I am filled with doubt and fear. “Will I be able to finish what I started? How will I go about doing it? I feel so tired, I don’t feel like doing anything. I have no energy today. I don’t feel like working out because I’m so exhausted. I need a break from everything and everyone.” Etc.

I’ve realized there is nothing I can do without His help, without His power, without His strength. From the big projects for work, to spending time preaching to street kids, to cooking dinner when I’m too tired, to making myself go to the gym even on days I’d rather be lounging on the sofa eating my feelings away. He is there through it all. He makes all things possible.

This verse reminds me that although I am weak, He who lives in me is strong. Although I am tired, His spirit is able to give me all the energy I need to go about my day. Whom shall I fear then?

Which brings me to this beautiful reminder:

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10

So today, as you go about your day, remind yourself that you can do all things through Him who strengthens you. He will never leave nor forsake you, His Grace is with you wherever you go. He delights in your weaknesses, for His power is made perfect in our weakness. In fact, our weaknesses are a great reminder to lean on Him in everything that we do, to put Him first and to seek His guidance. How amazing 🙂

“Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9
Let’s pray:

Lord,
We know that we are sinners in need of Your Grace. We understand that we are too weak to carry out all of our daily tasks. We trust in Your hand to guide us through it all, for we know that Your power is made perfect in our weaknesses. Thank You for giving us the strength to do things that may seem impossible. We know that what is impossible with men, is possible with and through You, loving Father. Thank You for being our strength when we want to give up, for being our Hope during times of trial, for loving us no matter what. Today we declare that whatever comes our way, will be nothing compared to Your power and strength within us. Thank You for the beautiful reminder that You, Lord, are in control, and that You, Lord, hold our lives in Your hands. In Jesus’ beautiful name we pray, Amen.

Much love your way.
