“You are the Only Thing that is Beautiful in me…”

Beautiful song. Listen carefully to the lyrics… You, Lord, are the only thing that’s beautiful in me…

Anything good that I’m able to do, I do it through You. You are everything. And all I can say, is thank You. THANK YOU, LORD, THANK YOU.

Psalm 30:11-12 (NIV)

You turned my wailing into dancing;
You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
that my heart may sing Your praises and not be silent.

LORD my God, I will praise You forever.

All Glory to God.

“Walk in obedience to all that the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.”

– Deuteronomy 5:33

Beautiful verse.

Another verse that is very similar to this one is Jeremiah 7:23 –

“..but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.”

The Bible speaks a lot about obedience and discipline. It is definitely not easy to walk on the right path in this world, for there are so many things all around telling us otherwise. Everywhere we will go, we will face all kinds of temptations, all kinds of struggles. What to do to stand firm in Faith, to keep our paths straight in the Lord?
Well, there is only one answer to that, and it is to HANG ON TO GOD’S WORD.

There is no other answer. If we want to fight the enemy, if we want to live a godly life, it is time for us to discipline ourselves in the Word. It is time for us to start reading and meditating on God’s Holy Scriptures every day. Yes, every day, because every day brings with itself new temptations, new trials, new struggles, new tests of faith. No day is the same. Every day reveals new things, we learn new things, we meet new people, we visit different places, etc. The only thing that never changes is that every day we sin. We will never be able to become sinless, but that doesn’t mean we can’t sin less, right?

Check out this verse: Luke 9:23 –

Then He (Jesus) said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

It says, “Take up his cross DAILY“. This just shows you it is, indeed, an ongoing struggle. It is a lifestyle.

Ever since we were born, we were taught obedience by our parents. Thank God we have had parents who guided us in the right path our entire lives. There are many children being raised in the streets, growing up by themselves, with no one to guide them, no one to speak to them about God. Let’s appreciate our parents today.
And above all, let’s appreciate our Holy FATHER, for He is the ruler and creator of all. Let’s try to be obedient to His Word and let’s try always to live in the Spirit, trying always to please Him and Him alone. Forget about pleasing the world! It’s either the world or  God…. now who do you choose? I hope you choose God as well. 🙂

Matthew 6:24 –

“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

If you ever feel like this is too much for you, send me a message. I used to feel the same way 5-6 months ago.
If my life could change and become so beautiful, yours can, too. We just gotta keep trusting. Keep believing.

God bless you.

“Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom..”

– Psalm 90:12 NLT

A friend posted this as his status on FB a couple of days ago. I had read it before but it never struck me like it did yesterday. So I thank God for him.

Life is short, it is. Sometimes we take our days for granted. We assume there will be so many more to come. We sometimes get so wrapped up in things of the world that we forget to remember that our life can end in one blink of an eye. We forget to remember that God is and always will be the only reason why we’re still here, why we still live. We forget our Creator and succumb to the earthly desires instead. Why is it so hard for us humans to understand that we are worthless, and the only way to become worthy is by accepting God’s Grace in our lives, by living in the Spirit. God makes us worthy. Everything good that we are and everything good that we’re able to do is thanks to Him who has loved us.

To be honest, I sometimes forget as well. This past week I haven’t done much Bible reading, maybe a verse a day, and that’s it. I have felt a bit of a void. I have been so busy lately, that I have been forgetting to praise my God for everything. Too busy for God????????????????????????????????????????????? Ugh. Makes me sick just thinking about it. Last night it hit me… Why am I not spending as much time as I’d like to with the Lord? Sigh…….. The only thing I could think of was that I haven’t been spending much time at home lately. And when I do come home, I go to sleep. Yes, I pray before I sleep, but that’s never enough.

Dear God, please interrupt my days with Your presence, fill my life again. I love You so much, but I feel as if I am drifting away, I want to draw closer to You. Please help me God… In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

As Danny wrote, “My only desire is to stand firm in the faith, at all costs. Nothing else matters in this world — as we are here for only a flash of a second, considering eternity’s everlasting time frame. If we are to follow Jesus, it will require great sacrifice and commitment — The Journey isn’t an easy one, but the reward is indescribable.” SO TRUE.

Today, I don’t want to lean on my own feelings, on my own understanding. I want to lean on His Word and on His plan for me, His will. Which reminds me of Proverbs 3:5-6 –

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

And no matter how many times we forget about God, He never forgets about us. He loves us. Lord, thank You for always reminding us that we are loved. ❤

This song kinda describes my struggles lately- “If I had two hands doing the same thing, lifted high…” It talks about the Christian struggle… about wanting to praise the Lord always but feeling pulled over to the opposite direction by things of the world.
