“Though the grass withers and the flower wilts, the Word of our God stands forever.”

– Isaiah 40:8

I love this verse. Though everything can be lost, though everything can change in less than one second, the word of our God has been, is and always will be. God is the same yesterday, today and will be the same tomorrow. We can lose everything in this world, but we will never lose Him.

Also, Isaiah 43

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
3 For I am the LORD your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;

10“You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD,
“and my servant whom I have chosen,
so that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed,
nor will there be one after me.
11 I, even I, am the LORD,
and apart from me there is no savior.
12 I have revealed and saved and proclaimed—
I, and not some foreign god among you.
You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD, “that I am God.
13 Yes, and from ancient days I am he.
No one can deliver out of my hand.
When I act, who can reverse it?”

Beautiful verses! I thank God for His Word. So comforting, so loving. Today, I am worry-free because of my Lord. I am giving Him all of my worries, sorrows, anxieties, doubts. He is in control. For if we are in His hands, nothing can harm us. We are safe, from the moment we decide to give Him control. Let go of everything else and hang on to Him.

Be blessed! 🙂

Ecclesiastes 5

2 Do not be quick with your mouth,
   do not be hasty in your heart
   to utter anything before God.
God is in heaven
   and you are on earth,
   so let your words be few.

4 When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. 5 It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it. 6 Do not let your mouth lead you into sin. And do not protest to the temple messenger, “My vow was a mistake.” Why should God be angry at what you say and destroy the work of your hands?

Meditating on these verses now and wanted to share them with you.

Be blessed.

Rest in Peace, Loy…

 I just heard the news… my dear friend, Luis Vindel, passed away. I don’t have much to say right now, except that I know the enemy is trying to get me down… and I know God is testing my Faith. How genuine is my Faith?
Many say, “Be careful what you wish for, cause you just might get it.” And I have been praying for genuineness for a while now. I have been praying for God to strengthen my Faith. I think these trials are His way to test my faithfulness to Him, to His promise. Will I only trust in Him in the good times? Or will I keep my faith intact even during the hard times? Even when everything seems dark? I am tempted to lose my hope and believe that God really wants me to lose all of my friends. I am very tempted to give up… but I belong to God now. The enemy can try to tempt me, the enemy can try to bring me down, the enemy can try to destroy my hope and my faith, but he can’t steal my soul. My soul belongs to Christ and that promise is unbreakable. So God, today, in the midst of pain, in the middle of darkness, I give myself to you, completely. I surrender. I will keep my faith and my hopes in Your plan. I know You have a plan, I will trust in You, I will believe in You. You are my redeemer, You are my Savior and You hold Luis now. I won’t let the enemy bring me down, because Your peace dwells within me, and even though I feel heart broken, Your Grace overwhelms my brokenness. Your Grace is stronger than my pain. Your Grace is more powerful than any feelings I might have. Let me lean on You and not on my feelings, Lord. Don’t let me be deceived by the enemy. I will trust in Your WORD:

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
   and lean not on your own understanding;
 in all your ways submit to him,
   and he will make your paths straight.

I had never been attacked so much by the enemy before in my life. I’m sorry, but I belong to Christ. Keep attacking all you want. He who lives in me is STRONGER. He who lives in me has already won the battle. Victory is HIS. I will believe wholeheartedly. LOVE WINS.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmrXdjilmaY This song is giving me peace right now…..

“No weeping, no hurt or pain, no suffering, You hold him now, You hold him now.

No darkness, no sick or lame, no hiding, You hold him now, You hold him now…”

Please pray for Luis’ family. May they find peace and comfort in the shelter of the Lord. May God bless them, and bless you for your prayers.

In Christ,

Vanessa I. Faraj

What can I bring?

This song has been one of my favorites for quite a while now. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Close your eyes and try to picture yourself talking to Jesus… “What can I bring to You, Jesus?”

I was reading Romans 15 right now… These verses speak so loudly to me:

“It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.  Rather, as it is written:

“Those who were not told about Him will see,
and those who have not heard of Him will understand.”

This is my ambition, this is my goal. I want to preach the Word in forgotten places, I want to spread God’s hope to the lost, to the people who have never heard of Him before. I want God to use me for this.

I ask that you help me pray for this. Thank you!

Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. <– This is my wish for all of you.

God’s righteousness.

Titus 3:3-8

3 At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.

Yes, we have always been sinners. We used to live in the flesh, we were used to living for the desires of the ego.

4But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,

Yes. Once we believe wholeheartedly in the Grace of our God, and we accept Jesus as our Savior, and we start walking by Faith and not by sight, we are saved, His Grace and His love wash our hearts of all impurities, and we are born again, our heart is renewed and our spirit is cleansed. And we are saved, not by our works of righteousness, but by God’s righteousness. We only are able to become righteous through Him, and we are only able to do good deeds because He makes us able. All credit, all honor, all glory goes to Him. Destroy all arrogance and pride. We are now able to live through the Holy Spirit, making us strong in Christ. We will now want to live according to the desires of the Spirit, and not the flesh. And when we fall, God will be there to pick us up. Remember, we can never be perfect. We will never be perfect. We will always be sinners in need of His GRACE.

6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. 8 This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.

Once again, we are justified by His grace, and He put down His life, so we can have eternal life. He gave Himself to death so we can Live. We must live for Him. It is quite difficult, being a Christian is tough in this world, with temptations and struggles everywhere, but He who lives in us is strong. We gotta hold on and let Him lead the way, for He is in control.
And since we’re able to hear and believe in the good news (about Jesus and our Salvation), it is our duty now to spread the Word, in hopes of saving as many souls as possible for His Glory through the love of Jesus Christ. Let’s feed people with the Word, let’s encourage others to grow closer to Christ, to work on their relationship with God, to keep feeding their Faith daily, to keep the hope, to fight fight fight and never give up. God is with us. Let’s learn to recognize this.. Give Him all control.

May God bless you.

“His Grace has overwhelmed our brokenness”

Titus 2:11-14

“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.  It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,  while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,  who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.”

Beautiful verses. Wanted to share them with you. God bless you today and always. 🙂

Lord, USE me. Please, use me..

I have been thinking about this for a while now. I’ve been wanting to go on a mission trip for so long! Been searching for groups, on facebook, on twitter, over the web, etc., looking for mission trips planned to Honduras. I did go on one in 2008, and it was the best experience ever. So difficult, but sooo amazing. And I feel that if I enjoyed it so much in 2008, I would enjoy it 100,000,000 times more now. I am a changed person now… God has renewed my heart. Jesus has saved me. I want to glorify Him in everything that I do. I know I am a sinner, I know I fall sometimes, I stray, but God always pulls me back to where I belong, which is with Him, and NOTHING can change that now. But now I feel that instead of waiting to find a mission group, I will start one myself. I will let the Lord lead me, and I will follow. It’s in Your hands, Lord, You’re in control, so I will wait for Your guidance.

I feel that God has given me so much, without even deserving it. He gave Himself to death, just so you and I could have LIFE. He suffered for me and for you.

He has blessed me my entire life. Whenever I’ve fallen down, He’s picked me up every single time. And although I never noticed it before, He really has been carrying me all this time. I just didn’t want to admit it, because I was so full of pride, and I didn’t want to admit that I couldn’t do it myself, that I needed help. Recognizing that I couldn’t do it alone would break apart my ego, my pride. But you know what? Pride is the biggest hindrance in our relationship with Christ. How can we build a relationship with our Savior, when we’re too busy glorifying ourselves? How can we love God, when we’re too busy loving ourselves? How can we please our God, when we’re so busy pleasing ourselves, always going after the desires of the flesh and forgetting about the desires of the Spirit? (Galatians 5: 13-26) How can we even call ourselves children of God, when we don’t even take 1 minute of our day to thank our Father for His care, His daily love, His comfort, His blood?

“God runs to aid those who humble themselves and ask for His help.” We need Him, whether we learn to admit it or not. We are not super humans. We are sinners, in need of His Grace. And it’s not just a one time thing, it’s a daily struggle. We need to learn to recognize that we need Him every day, not just today. We came from the dust and to the dust we shall return, so what if we stop idolizing ourselves and start idolizing GOD and Him alone? How about we stop boasting about our “good qualities” and we start boasting about God’s amazingness instead? How about we remember that whatever our good qualities are, they’re all God’s work in us. Nothing belongs to us, no righteousness is ours, we haven’t gained righteousness because of our own works, but because of God’s work.

Lord, I ask that You use me, again and again, every day. I ask for forgiveness, for I am always in need of Your Grace. I sin every day, Lord. I am not deserving of eternal life next to You, for I am merely a sinner. I am not worthy, but because You love me You’ve made me worthy. Oh Lord, I ask that You take me far and let me be a living testimony of Your love for us. Let it be me who goes out into the world and spreads Your hope and love to others. Let me be the one who speaks of Your love to the lost souls. I have faith in Your power, in Your Grace, and I know that You can change even the hardest of hearts. I know that You are able, oh Lord, to make everything new again. Use me, Lord. I want to give back for everything that You’ve done for me, not because I have to, but because I want to. I want to honor You, love and worship You. Let it be me, Lord, let it be me.

“Glorify Your name, I want to see You glorified.”

Your Love is endless… ♡

2 Corinthians 12:9 -

But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is
made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly
about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

This verse speaks loudly to me. I am so filled with His spirit right now and feel overwhelmed. I love this feeling– When His peace overflows my heart, leaving no room for anything unholy.

It is very true. His power is surely made perfect in our weaknesses. The more I tell God that I can’t, the more He whispers to me, “Oh but I can.” The more I boast about my limitations, the more God shows me that His love has no limits, for His love is endless and His Grace everlasting. The more impotent I feel, the more fragile I admit to be, the more God reminds me that His strength is incomparable and His power is perfect.

I pray that Your love is felt by everyone who reads this post today. I pray that each and every one of them gets to genuinely experience You and Your amazingness. I pray for Genuineness today, Lord. Genuineness for others and genuineness for myself. Let us seek You, truly, with no limitations, no fears, NO PRIDE.

Let us know You, for when we know You, we are able to truly love You.

Isaiah 41:10 –

“So do not fear, for I am with you;
   do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
   I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
